The Clerk's Office staff prepares City Council agenda packets which are available the Friday prior to the Monday night City Council meetings. The agenda is the order of business for a meeting. The City of South Haven Agenda includes the Heading; Call to Order; Roll Call; Approval of Agenda; Public Comment on items not on the Agenda; Consent Agenda; Old Business; New Business; City Manager Comments; Mayor and City Council Comments; and Adjournment.

Minutes are the only official, permanent record of a meeting of a board, council or commission. Robert's Rules of Order, Newly Revised, 10th Edition states: " . . .they should contain mainly a record of what was done at the meeting, not what was said by the members."
