The City of South Haven lies on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. The "Big Lake" provides miles of beautiful beaches and attracts people of all ages to enjoy water activities of all kinds. Seven beaches and access sites and two piers - one at South Beach, the other at North Beach - are highlights of the city's shoreline. While these are considered assets, care and caution should be taken while utilizing them.

Citizens and visitors to the city's shoreline are asked to educate themselves about safety at the shore including rip current information and other drowning risk factors. The links listed below are intended to provide important information about water safety.
